The NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness) is a grassroots, family and consumer, self-help, support, education and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons with serious mental illnesses, also known as severe brain disorders. NAMI Tarrant County is an affiliate of NAMI.org and we are located in North Texas.
NAMI’s Mission Statement:
NAMI recognizes that the key concepts of recovery, resiliency and support are essential to improving the wellness and quality of life for all persons affected by mental illness.
NAMI will advocate at all levels to ensure that all persons affected by mental illness receive the services that they need and deserve, in a timely fashion. Mental illnesses should not be an obstacle to a full and meaningful life for persons who live with them.

NAMI TEXAS is dedicated to improving the quality of life of all individuals living with mental illness and their families.
NAMI Tarrant County’s Mission Statement:
To improve the quality of life for all affected by mental illness, to support their recovery, and to eradicate the stigma and misconceptions of mental illness.
